THE CHURCH CHOIR AND MUSIC
Yarralumla Uniting Church Music
Calling all musicians!
Yarralumla Uniting Church is in need of musicians to support the hymn singing during services and to accompany the church choir.
The following roles are available:
Choir Accompanist - a keyboard player (to play either the organ or an electronic piano) is needed to support and accompany the choir ever second Sunday. It would be preferable if the accompanist could attend choir rehearsals during the day on Tuesdays.
In-service musicians - musicians (any instruments) are sought to provide accompaniment to hymn-singing during the services. It is envisaged that a roster system will operate, so if you can form a group or provide solo support, we'd love to place you on the roster.
Come and join the choir!
Yarralumla's wonderful church choir members will be raising their voices to the glory of the Lord again this year, and new members are very welcome. No expertise required - just a willingness to learn and be part of making wonderful music.
Rehearsals for 2011 will be 3.30 to 5.00pm. on Wednesdays.
Sunday Singers Follows the Morning Service for 30 minutes held in the back hall , an informal group: all welcome: no experience needed : ask!
Contact Bronwyn Hendy: Tel. 6299 3116; Email: bkhendy@ozemail.com.au for more information.
Church Directories
The church directories have been recently been updated, replacing the directories released during August 2009. Please collect your copy at the church.
SUNDAY BULLETIN
The Sunday Bulletin contains news of regular and coming events, reports, lectionary listings, service times and rosters for the week.
Notices may be sent to Ken Goard, Bev Cadden and Tony Lawton by noon on the Wednesday before publication.
DISABLED PARKING
Parking for those with limited mobility:
The two car park positions on either side of the path to the church entrance are reserved for those who are less able to walk a longer distance.
"Witches hats" are normally placed there as a reminder. If you don’t mind walking a little further, please leave these parking spaces for those who will benefit from their availability.
HEARING LOOP
For the hearing-impaired, a Hearing Aid Loop has been installed in the church building.
To "tune" to the loop broadcast, switch your hearing aid to the "T" setting.
